I'm not receiving any responses

No response to my request for help / offer of help

Have you placed an offer of help or a request for help and have you not received any responses? Perhaps it is an idea to search for suitable matches yourself via the website. You can message others through the website to initiate contact.

No response to my message

Sometimes it is possible that you have approached someone and you have not yet received a response. Annoying when this happens. We do a number of things to encourage users to respond to messages as much as possible, even if the person is not interested. If a user has received a response to his/her call, this person will receive an email in the mailbox with the question and the option to respond. In addition, we always send a reminder to users who have not responded after three days. In this message we ask if this user would like to respond. The option to respond to a message via e-mail, without having to log in, also increases the response percentage.

Have you received a response yourself, but you no longer need help or are you unable to help? It would be nice if you would like to respond. In this way, the requester knows where he or she stands and the search for a suitable match can continue.

It sometimes happens that someone has signed up and later changes their mind. There can be various reasons for this. Such as a sudden illness or no help is needed anymore. If you still do not receive a response after seven days, you will also receive an email from us and it is best to look for someone else.

Tips

We have prepared a number of tips to increase the chance of a response. You can use these tips when writing a message:

- Make your message personal. The chance of a reaction is thus many times higher.

- Indicate in your message when, for how long and how often help is needed. More clarity ensures that a user knows what to respond sooner, so that he or she is more likely to do so.

- Try to avoid long blocks of text, so that readers don't drop out.

- Many organizations have a telephone number at the bottom of their call. Calling ensures earlier contact!
