Logeerhuis De Buren is a neighborly aid project where people can stay temporarily when, for example, they come from the hospital and are home alone or cannot handle the household for a while. The project is an addition to existing care. The house can accommodate ten guests. In addition, the house has four places for respite care. These are places for people with a chronic physical illness whose caregiver needs time out to catch their breath. Task/activities volunteer: As a volunteer you fulfill a central role in the guest house. You understand the situation of the guests. Guests can confide in you. You offer help by, for example, helping with the laundry, making the beds, running an errand or providing coffee/tea and meals. In addition, you are also there to listen, play a game, help with cooking or take a walk. What you want and can do is taken into account. A coordinator is present for the direction and supervision of volunteers. Working hours: The Logeerhuis is open 24 hours a day, so volunteers are needed in the living room on all parts of the day; in the morning (8.30am-12.30pm), afternoon (12.15 - 4.30 pm or from 4.15 pm - 7.15 pm), evening (7 pm - 10.30 pm) and at night (sleep volunteer) (22.15 - 8.15 am). Cooking volunteers are deployed from 3.30 pm - 7 pm. Important for this volunteer position: - Affinity with the target group, mainly older people who have little or no social network Do you like it?
