Have you completed a training course as a nutritional advisor and would you like to use your experience and affinity with eating problems for our clients? And are you also honest, committed and able to combine nutritional advice with psychology? Then we are looking for you! *Who is the JIJ Foundation?* The JIJ Foundation is a volunteer organization and offers expert support to everyone from the age of 12 who is dealing with an eating problem or eating disorder themselves or those around them. She does this in an anonymous and small-scale way in the form of offering a listening ear, providing information and advice and guiding individuals and groups. She also organizes recovery-oriented activities, workshops and training courses from her drop-in center, the JIJ-huis, in Rotterdam. See our website for more information. *What are you going to do?* As a volunteer nutritional advisor, you belong to the Information, Advice and Support team within the JIJ Foundation. Your role is to provide 1-1 guidance to current clients who need extra support with eating over a period of time. It is important that you are able to combine advice on eating with the psyche (why is it difficult to change/how can you change your (thinking) patterns, so that you can also change your eating pattern). As a nutrition advisor, you conduct conversations and report to the IAS coordinator via conversation notes. Together you monitor progress and see what steps someone can take towards recovery. Your employability (number of hours and working days) will be determined in consultation. *What are YOU bringing?* You are 18 years or older and intend to be associated with us for a longer period (at least 1 year); You have experience with an eating disorder (anorexia, bulimia, BED, NOS) and have recovered for at least 1.5 years; You are trained as a nutritional advisor and are able to combine nutritional advice with psychology; You are preferably available 6 hours per month; You have good social and written skills; You are willing to participate in mandatory training modules, intervisions and consultation forms; You are reliable, honest and have respect for the client and his/her privacy. You have a proactive and open attitude; You have taken note of our mission, objective and core values and can endorse them. * What does the JIJ Foundation offer?* The opportunity to contribute to a good cause; Gaining work experience within a nice and enthusiastic team of volunteers; A volunteer allowance of 1.66 euros per hour and travel expenses (travel costs up to 13.80 euros per day); Fun monthly drinks and volunteer activities. *Want to know more or apply?* Then send us a message! When applying, please also include your email address. We will then contact you to schedule an introductory meeting. You can also ask questions here. Before entering employment, you will be asked to submit a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). We can request this for you free of charge before you start with us. We may see you soon in our YOU house!
