Volunteer Money and Family Rotterdam

One in five children in Rotterdam grows up in poverty. A buddy could make a big difference by providing social and practical support. He/she helps parents get their finances in order and pays specific attention to the needs of the child and expanding their world. For example, the volunteer can help to find a sports club and the associated allowances that can be applied for, learn how to deal with pocket money or apply for a laptop for school. Tasks/activities Depending on the needs of the family: - Help to gain overview of financial situation - Guidance in taking steps such as guiding towards debt counseling or work - Raise awareness of the importance of financial education - Pointing the way in funds and allowances that can be applied for Working hours - To be decided by yourself, in consultation with the family. You can assume 1 half day per week.
