Challenge: build a hedgehog house

Hedgehogs have less and less space to live. They could really use our help! Every year, 135,000 hedgehogs die in traffic alone. Fortunately, we can help the hedgehogs. The Netherlands has 3 billion square meters of garden. And gardens are an important habitat for hedgehogs. A place where they find food and shelter. By helping hedgehogs in your garden, they don't have to travel long distances to find enough food. There is less chance that they have to cross a road. You can make a difference with your garden. Make your garden hedgehog-friendly: build a hedgehog house, provide a few junk corners and food in your garden. Together we make the whole of the Netherlands a home for hedgehogs. Map beach life with an app and contribute to the preservation of our coasts 🌊 In recent years it has become increasingly crowded on the Dutch beaches. Unfortunately, due to the crowds on the beach, there is little room left for nature and biodiversity on the beach. The Green Beach project wants to change this. You can map a piece of beach with a special app. With the knowledge you collect in the app, Het Groene Strand can map the biodiversity of the beach and make this piece of unique nature in the Netherlands greener. You are guaranteed a nice afternoon because: sea, beach and impact (the sun is in your hand, choose a nice day ;-)). You also learn something from it because have you ever heard of knotsweed? Or seen a hermit crab? You can discover the different plants and animals that live on the beach with the new search map and app from Het Groene Strand. Click 'I'm in' and get started! Make a double impact by recycling your plastic bottle for a good cause! As you know, there is a deposit on all plastic bottles these days. Recycling is therefore a good idea anyway, but especially if you do it for a good cause. That is why there are special waste bins in many places in the Netherlands where you can immediately support a good cause with your deposit. For example, Stichting Jarige Job, which makes birthday boxes for children who cannot celebrate their birthday. Every year, 80,000 children can still celebrate their birthday! Or the Plastic Whale Foundation, which inspires the whole of the Netherlands with their 'plastic fishing' trips to recycle your plastic waste (and so the circle with your plastic bottle donation is complete again ;)). Will you join us? Sign up below without obligation with your email address. Then we know that you will make an impact, and we can tell you a little more about where to throw your 'donation' away. Tens of thousands of people will sleep in the cold tonight. Donate old sleeping bags and help the homeless through the night! Sheltersuit turns it into a wind and waterproof jacket with a zip-on sleeping bag, for anyone who is forced to sleep outside. ⚡ This is what you will do Every sleeping bag counts when you're literally out in the cold. So clean up your attic and that of others and collect all old sleeping bags. You can donate these at all Het Goed thrift stores in your area. Note: not every sleeping bag is usable. These are good: • Synthetic thick and thin sleeping bags; • Preferably washed and should be of somewhat good looking; • The zipper may be broken; • The liner must not be broken; • Down/wool sleeping bags cannot be donated, unfortunately. You can hand in your old sleeping bags with every acceptance of goods at one of the 28 thrift stores of Het Goed. 🌙 For this you make all the difference Sheltersuit helps homeless people and refugees who are forced to sleep outside. Due to the increasing demand from aid organizations at home and abroad, no less than 16,500 sleeping bags are needed. By handing in a sleeping bag to Het Goed you make it possible that our social workshops can continue to make Sheltersuits and thus create permanent work. Will you lend a hand? You really make a difference with it and it also makes your attic happy. Thank you in advance!

'You come into direct contact with Rotterdam households and can immediately help them save energy. Extremely grateful to see what a difference you can make with your visits, and ideal to be able to plan your own agenda.' – Individual energy coach You call a household that has registered with the Energy Bank Rotterdam. You make an appointment to visit them, when it suits you. As an individual energy coach, you help the household with about three to five home visits to become aware of their energy consumption and encourage them to save energy. At the last appointment, you hand over a free package of energy-saving products and help them install it. As an energy coach you don't have to be a technician. You decide how many households you want to supervise and when you schedule your appointments with these households. This way you are fully in control of your own agenda! Whether you guide one or five households: you are welcome! Would you also like to work as an individual energy coach and help households immediately get a grip on their energy costs?
