Hostess Alzheimer Salon Delfshaven

Wanted hostess/host Would you like to contribute to supporting people with dementia and their caregivers? Alzheimer Salon Delfshaven is a monthly meeting for people with dementia and their caregivers. This takes place every 2nd Wednesday of the month. In the Alzheimer Salon we provide information and provide a pleasant, safe atmosphere where people share their experiences with each other. These evenings are prepared and organized by a team of volunteers and professionals. That is why we are looking for a hostess/host. Are you: • Affected by people with dementia and their caregivers? • Someone who can put people at ease and make people feel welcome to feel? • Someone with a listening ear? • Someone who enjoys working in a team? • Available once a month (3 hours) on a fixed evening during the month? Then we would like to get in touch with you! There are various activities you can do as a volunteer in the Alzheimer Salon: • Help in preparing and tidying up the room and welcoming the guests visitors. • Putting the visitors of Alzheimer Salon Delfshaven at ease. • Provide information to new visitors about the structure of the evening. • Help with the catering. • Pay attention to the possible emotions of visitors and respond accordingly • Identifying questions from visitors and passing them on to the discussion leader and/or professionals present. • Supporting the discussion leader and coordinator of the Alzheimer Salon Delfshaven. • Contribute to the evaluation of the evening.
